Cadet Foundation of St. Peter’s College (CFSPC) an initiative founded on February 13, 2021 by like-minded ex-cadet comradeship of college is undoubtedly a trademark of its kind.
The outfit under the governance of Old Boy’s Union of St. Peter’s College was designed to serve a twin angled vision – ‘Giving Back Generously’ & ‘Continued Comradeship’ amongst ex-cadets of college.
College platoon itself carries significant history within the cadetting formation of Ceylon/Sri Lanka dating since 1929. Close to a century of its’ history, the college platoon has produced Herman Loos & De Soysa cup winning platoons & also has bagged Millers cup during CCC days. College saw being selected for the first ever cadet band being institutionalized. Flow of records in new millennia coming again to limelight with bearing the first ever ‘Air Force Cadet’ platoon in year 2011 and going on to produce champion platoon and many other SNCO’s amongst the air wing.
Ranks since CCC through NCC to SLDC (Sri Lanka Defence Cadets) have produced many gallant officers and cadets who served the second great-war as distinguished & decorated ranks within the corps. Further some went on to be gallant, carrier military personalities with tri forces of Ceylon & Sri Lanka.
The foundation is truly committed in cherishing & conservation of our great history/personalities for tomorrow within our comradeship today.
